GoalsI had three goals for the course. These goals were to post blogs, to set up an actual help desk, and to set up a way for backchanneling to occur. I only achieved one of three goals. I completed the goal to post blogs. I posted blogs on digital lifestyles, digital footprints, and other reflections. By writing and posting about these subjects my goal was fulfilled. The other two goals were not completely fulfilled. Regarding backchanneling, the students had access to the blogs but failed to post to them or write any comments on them. In the future, students should be aware that they are free to comment on blogs. My last goal also failed. We did not have the time and resources to create an actual help desk. Through the furniture project, this goal might be fulfilled in the future. Blog PostsMy two favorite posts this semester were my Grammarly app review and my ‘How to Format MLA in Google Docs’ tutorial Both of these posts were my favorite because I believed that students may have found these very useful. I worked on these from the point of view of a student that may need help. The blog post that I thought needed more work was ‘One ISTE Standard.’ This blog needs some improvement because it was not really thoroughly reflected. I could have added a few more things to it such as how the standard was going to affect my education in the long run. The FutureThe future holds great opportunities for this class. As technology keeps developing, the help desk has to be expanded. An assignment that needs to be done is Escape the Room. This is a great opportunity for the Help Desk to carry out project management in a more big scale event. This opportunity would also be a great event for students to explore features of technology. Some advice for the future students of the class would be to keep learning, have an open mind, and to be patient.
